கனடியர்களின் பாதுகாப்பையும், அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கும் உதவிகளையும் தொடர்வதற்கு எவ்வாறு இணைந்து செயற்படலாமென ஆராய்வதற்காக மாகாண முதல்வர்களினதும், பிராந்திய முதலமைச்சர்களினதும் மகாநாடு ஒன்றை இன்று (வியாழக்கிழமை) நடத்தவுள்ளதாகப் பிரதமர் ஜஸ்ரின் ட்ரூடோ அறிவித்தார்.
மாகாணங்களினதும், பிராந்தியங்களினதும் தேவைகள் எவையாக இருந்தாலும் அவற்றுக்குச் சமஷ்டி அரசு தொடர்ந்து உதவியளிக்குமென அவர் உறுதியளித்தார். மருத்துவத்துறைக்கான உதவியும், தனி நபர் பாதுகாப்பு உபகரணங்களும் அதிகளவில் தேவைப்படும் நிலையில் ஒரு மில்லியனுக்கும் அதிகமான முக மூடிகளை (mask) நேற்றுப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டதாகக் கனடிய அரசு உறுதிப்படுத்தியுள்ளது. இவை கடந்த சில நாட்களில் கிடைத்த பத்து மில்லியன் முகமூடிகளுக்கு (mask) மேலதிகமானவை. இவை மாகாணங்களுக்கும் பிராந்தியங்களுக்கும் விநியோகிக்கப்படுகின்றன.
கோவிட்-19 இற்கு எதிரான போராட்டத்தில் தொழிற்துறையை அணி திரட்டும் கனடாவின் திட்டம் இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்கு முன்பு ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட பின்னர் இன்றியமையாத பல மில்லியன் உபகரணங்களைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்வதற்கு 3000திற்கும் அதிகமான நிறுவனங்கள் உதவியளித்துள்ளன. பொதுவாக ஹொக்கி உபகரணங்களைத் தயாரிக்கும் Bauer நிறுவனத்திடம் லட்சக்கணக்கான முகக்க வசங்களைப் (face shield) பெற்றுக் கொள்வதற்குக் கனேடிய அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுத்துள்ளது. தாதிகளையும், மருத்துவர்களையும், கோவிட்-19 இல் இருந்து பாதுகாப்பதற்கான முகக் கவசங்களை Bauer தயாரிக்கவுள்ளது. புது முறையிலும், ஒன்று சேர்ந்தும் சிந்திப்பதற்கான தேவை தொடர்வதாகப் பிரதம மந்திரி வலியுறுத்தினார். தரவுகளையும், உருப்படிவங்களையும் (modelling) ஒருங்கிணைப்பதையும், பகிர்வதையும் தொடவுள்ளதாகப் பிரதமர் உறுதியளித்தார்.
தேங்கியுள்ள பரிசோதனைகளின் முடிவுகளைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்வதில் மாகாணங்கள் கணிசமான முன்னேற்றத்தை அடைந்து வருவதால், ஆய்வுக்கு உட்படுத்துவதற்கான முக்கியமான தரவுகள் நிபுணர்களுக்குக் கிடைப்பதுடன், கனடியர்களுக்கும் உறுதி செய்யப்பட்ட அதிக தரவுகள் கிடைக்கும். கோவிட் – 19 தொற்றியோர், அதில் ஏற்படும் அதிகரிப்பு, அதன் பரம்பல் என்பன தொடர்பான அனைத்துத் தரவுகளும் Canada.ca/coronavirus இல் வெளியிடப்படும்.

கனடாவின் பொதுத் துறைச் சுகாதாரப் பராமரிப்புப் பொறி முறை பலமானதெனவும், சிறந்த சுகாதாரத் துறைப் பணியாளர்கள் இருப்பதாகவும் பிரதமர் ட்ரூடோ தெரிவித்தார். மருத்துவர்களும் தாதிகளும், பார ஊர்திகள் மூலமும் வான் வழி மூலமும் பொருட்களைக் கொண்டு வருவோரும், கனேடிய வரலாற்றில் முன்னொரு போதும் இல்லாத அளவுக்குச் செயற்பாடுகளைப் படி உயர்த்தும் நேரத்தில், சுகாதாரப் பராமரிப்புப் பணியாளர்கள், நண்பர்கள், அயலவர்கள் ஆகியோரின் உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவதற்கு அனைத்துக் கனேடியர்களும் அவர்களது பங்கைச் செய்ய வேண்டுமென அவர் அறைகூவல் விடுத்தார்.
Updated Emergency Measures by the Canadian Federal Government on April 2nd
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that today (Thursday) he will be chairing a First Ministers Meeting with the Premiers to discuss how to continue working together to keep Canadians safe and supported; and pledged that the federal government will continue to support the provinces and territories with whatever they need.
With increasing demand for personal protective equipment and other supports for the healthcare system, the Canadian government confirmed receiving a shipment of over a million masks yesterday. This is in addition to the 10 million masks that have come in over the last days, and are being distributed to the provinces and territories.
Since Canada’s Plan to Mobilize industries to fight COVID-19 was launched two weeks ago, over 3000 companies have come forward and helped secure millions of pieces of vital equipment. The Canadian government has ordered hundreds of thousands of face shields from Bauer – a company that normally makes hockey gear. Bauer will be creating shields to protect nurses and doctors against COVID-19. The prime minister emphasized the continued need for innovative, collaborative thinking.
Prime Minister Trudeau also committed to continued coordination and sharing of data and modelling. As provinces make significant progress on testing backlogs, it gives experts important data to analyze and more validated data that can be shared with Canadians. All data regarding cases, growth, and spread of COVID-19 is made available through Canada.ca/coronavirus.
The Canandian government will also be providing more information in the coming days about the progress and predicted models of the spread of COVID-19. Prime Minister Trudeau also cautioned that the biggest variable in shaping these projections is behaviour and action of individuals, and urged Canadians to listen to the advice of health officials – to stay home and reduce trips to essential services. He emphasized that the actions and choices made today will be important to make sure that hospitals will not be overwhelmed in the coming weeks.
Prime Minister Trudeau stated that Canada’s public healthcare system is strong, and healthcare professionals are remarkable. As Doctors and nurses, truckers and air cargo operators, are scaling up operations to levels never witnessed in Canadian history, he also called on all Canadians to do their part; to save the lives of health care workers, friends andneighbours.
