COVID-19 உதவிக் கொடுப்பனவுகளை நீடிக்கும் சமஷ்டி அரசின் திட்டம்
கனேடியர்கள் உடல் நலத்துடனும், பாதுகாப்பாகவும் இருப்பதையும், பணம் இன்றிய நிலைக்குச் செல்லாதிருப்பதையும் உறுதி செய்வதற்கு, COVID-19 உலகத்தொற்றுநோயின் ஆரம்பத்தில் இருந்தே கனேடிய அரசு ஆதரவளித்து வருகிறது. உயிர்களைக் காப்பதற்காக நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள, கடினமான ஆனால் அத்தியாவசியமான பொதுச் சுகாதார கட்டுப்பாடுகள் காரணமாக நாடு முழுவதிலும் பல பணியாளர்களும், குடும்பங்களும் உறுதியற்ற நிலையை எதிர்கொள்கிறார்கள்.
பிரதம மந்திரி ஜஸ்ரின் ட்ரூடோவும், வேலைவாய்ப்பு, பணியணி மேம்பாடு மற்றும் மாற்றுவலுக்கொண்டோரை உள்ளீர்த்தல் ஆகியன தொடர்பான அமைச்சர் கார்ளா குவால்ட்றோவம் (Carla Qualtrough) – கனடா மீட்சிக் கொடுப்பனவு (CRB), கனடா மீட்சி சுகவீன கொடுப்பனவு (CRSB), கனடா மீட்சிப் பராமரிப்பாளர் கொடுப்பனவு (CRCB) மற்றம் வழமையான வேலைக்காப்புறுதிக் கொடுப்பனவு (EI) ஆகியன வழங்கப்படும் வாரங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையை அதிகரிப்பதற்கு நெறிப்படுத்தல் ஏற்பாடுகளையும், சட்டத் திருத்தங்களையும் முன்வைக்கக் கனேடிய அரசு திட்டமிட்டுள்ளதாக இன்று அறிவித்தார்கள்.
சில பணியாளர்களுக்கான கொடுப்பனவுகள் மார்ச் மாதத்தின் பிற்பகுதியில் முடிவுக்கு வரக்கூடுமென்பதால் இந்த நீடிப்பு, கனடாவின் பொருளாதாரமும் பணியணியும் மீண்டுவரும்வேளையில் அவர்களுக்கு உதவி தொடர்வதை உறுதி செய்யும். கனடா மீட்சி சுகவீன கொடுப்பனவை (CRSB) மேலதிகமாகப் பெறக் கூடியதாக இருக்குமென்பதால் உடல்நலமின்றி வேலைக்குச் செல்வது, உணவுக்குப் பணத்தை உழைப்பது ஆகியவற்றில் எதைத் தெரிவு செய்வதென்ற பிரச்சினை அவர்களுக்கு இருக்காது.
முன்மொழியப்பட்ட மாற்றங்கள்:
- கனடா மீட்சிக் கொடுப்பனவு (CRB), கனடா மீட்சிப் பராமரிப்பாளர் கொடுப்பனவு (CRCB) ஆகியன கிடைக்கும் ஆகக் கூடிய காலத்தை விதிமாற்றங்களின் மூலம் 12 வாரங்களால் அதிகரிப்பதால், அது 26 வாரங்களில் இருந்து 38 வாரங்கள் வரை அதிகரிக்கப்படும்
- தற்போது 2 வாரங்கள் வழங்கப்படும் கனடா மீட்சி சுகவீன கொடுப்பனவு (CRSB) விதி மாற்றங்களின் மூலம் 4 வாரங்களாக நீடிக்கப்படும்
- 2020 செப்ரெம்பர் 27 ஆந் திகதிக்கும், 2021 செப்ரெம்பர் 25 ஆந் திகதிக்கும் இடைப்பட்ட காலப்பகுதியில் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படும் விண்ணப்பங்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் வழமையான வேலைக்காப்புறுதிக் கொடுப்பனவு, சட்டத் திருத்தம் மூலம் 24 வாரங்கள் வரையான காலப்பகுதியால் ஆகக் கூடியது 50 வாரங்கள் வரை நீடிக்கப்படும்.
Federal Government proposes extending of COVID-19 supports
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada has been there for Canadians and provided them with the support they need to stay healthy, safe and solvent. Many workers and families across the country continue to face uncertain times as a result of the difficult but necessary public health measures put in place to save lives.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion, Carla Qualtrough, today announced the Government of Canada’s intent to introduce regulatory and legislative amendments to increase the number of weeks of benefits available for the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB), the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB), the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) and Employment Insurance (EI) regular benefits.
As some workers could begin to exhaust their benefits in late March, this increase would ensure continued support as Canada’s economy and labour force recovers. It would also provide additional access to the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit, so that Canadians do not have to make the choice between going to work sick and putting food on the table.
The proposed changes would:
- increase the number of weeks available under the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) and the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) by 12 weeks extending the maximum duration of the benefits through regulation from 26 weeks to up to 38 weeks;
- increase the number of weeks available under the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) through regulation from the current 2 weeks to 4 weeks; and
- increase the number of weeks of EI regular benefits available by up to 24 weeks to a maximum of 50 weeks through legislation, for claims that are made between September 27, 2020 and September 25, 2021.
