கோவிட் – 19 எல்லைகளால் தடுக்க முடியாத ஓர் உலகத் தொற்று நோய். உலகம் முழுவதிலும் கோவிட்-19 கட்டுப்பாட்டிற்குள் வரும் வரையில் எந்த நாடும் முழுமையாக மீட்சியடைய முடியாது. கனேடிய ஆய்வாளர்களும், சர்வதேச ஆய்வாளர்களும் நோயை அறிதல், சிகிச்சை, உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்றும் தடுப்பு மருந்து ஆகியவற்றைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதிலும், அனைத்து இடங்களிலும் உள்ள மக்களின் நல் வாழ்வையும், பாதுகாப்பையும் உறுதி செய்வதற்கும், நீடித்திருக்கக் கூடிய உலகளாவிய பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சிக்கான அடித்தளத்தை உருவாக்குவதிலும் வேகமாக ஈடுபட்டுள்ளார்கள்.
கொறோனா வைரசுக்கு எதிரான உலக நடவடிக்கையைப் பிரதம மந்திரி ஜஸ்ரின் ட்ரூடோ ஏனைய உலகத் தலைவர்களுடன் இணைந்து இன்று ஆரம்பித்தார். சோதனை செய்தல், சிகிச்சையளித்தல், மக்களைப் பாதுகாத்தல், கோவிட்-19 இன பரம்பலைத் தடுத்தல் போன்றவற்றுக்கான தீர்வுகளைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள ஆய்வாளர்களுக்கும், புத்தாக்கம் செய்வோருக்கும் உதவியாக 8 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டொலர்களுக்கும் அதிகமான பணத்தை முதற்கட்டமாகத் திரட்டுவதே இந்த இணையவழி உறுதி மொழி பெறும் நிகழ்வின் இலக்கு.
இந்த நிதி சேகரிப்பு இலக்குகளில் 850 மில்லியன் கனேடிய டொலருக்கும் அதிகமான பணத்தை முதலிடுவதாகக் கனேடிய அரசு இதுவரை அறிவித்துள்ளதெனப் பிரதம மந்திரி சுட்டிக்காட்டினார்.

- கொறோனா வைரஸ் ஆய்வுக்கும், மருத்துவ எதிர் நடவடிக்கைகளைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதற்கும் கனேடிய ஆய்வாளர்களையும், உயிரியல் விஞ்ஞான நிறுவனங்களையும் அணி திரட்டுதல்
- Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations இன் ஊடாகவும், ஏனைய பங்காளிகளின் மூலமும் தடுப்பு மருந்தைக் கண்டு பிடிப்பதற்கான முயற்சிகளுக்கு ஆதரவளித்தல்
- உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனத்தின் Solidarity Trial பரிசோதனையின் மூலமாகக் கோவிட்-19 இற்கான பாதுகாப்பானதும், செயற்திறனுள்ளதுமான சிகிச்சை ஒன்றைக் கண்டு பிடித்தல்
- கனடாவில் கோவிட்-19 வைரஸினதும், விருந்து வழங்கியினதும் மரபணு வரிசைப்படுத்தல் முயற்சியை ஒருங்கிணைத்தல்
- 20 க்கும் அதிகமான பங்காளி நாடுகளில் கோவிட்-19 ஐக் கண்டு பிடிக்கும் பரிசோதனைகளுக்கு உதவியளித்தல்
- தவறான தகவல்கள், களங்கப்படுத்தல், அச்சம் ஆகியவற்றை எதிர் கொள்வதற்கான மூலோபாயங்களை உருவாக்குதல் ஒன்றோடொன்று பின்னிப் பிணைந்த இன்றைய உலகில் நீடித்திருக்கக்கூடிய

Updated Emergency Measures by the Canadian Federal Government on May4th
COVID-19 is a global pandemic, spread by a virus that knows no borders. No country will be able to fully recover until COVID-19 is controlled all around the world. Canadian and international researchers are racing to develop diagnostics, treatments, and vaccines that will save lives, protect the health and safety of people everywhere, and lay the groundwork for a sustainable worldwide economic recovery.
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today joined other global leaders to launch the Coronavirus Global Response. This online pledging event aims to initially raise more than $8 billion (USD) to help researchers and innovators develop solutions to test, treat, and protect people, and to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
The Prime Minister highlighted that, to date, the Government of Canada has announced investments of over $850 million (CAD) that support this fundraising target. This includes
funding to:
- mobilize Canadian researchers’ and life sciences companies’ coronavirus research and development of medical countermeasures;
- support accelerated vaccine development, including through the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations and other partners;
- find a safe and effective treatment for COVID-19 through the World Health Organization (WHO) Solidarity Trial.
- coordinate a COVID-19 viral and host genome sequencing effort across Canada.
- help provide COVID-19 diagnostic support to more than 20 partner countries and
- create strategies to tackle misinformation, stigma, and fear.

That is why the government is providing funding to support some of the world’s most vulnerable populations, and working with international partners as they coordinate and prioritize response efforts in vulnerable countries.
